Ella started eating rice cereal about a week ago and is STARTING to get it. It still takes her about 3 tries to get a whole spoon full down, but she's getting better each time. We initially tried giving her the plain cereal and she would gag as soon as the spoon would get close to her mouth. We tried to make it more 'milky' for her but still the same reaction. So I found some cereal with fuit mixed in and she really seems to like it. We've been slowly adding more and more of the regular rice to her meal, because I don't want her to come too aquainted with the sweet taste since veggies are less than 2 months away. Her eating routine is Ella in her bumbo with the tray, a bowl of rice cereal (with a suction bottom - great idea) and TWO spoon - one for Ella and one for who ever feeds her. She like holding her spoon and even trys to 'feed' herself during the process.
Change of subject, but I wanted to thank my mom for the wonderful camera she bought me this weekend for Christmas. These pictures were taken with it! I'm learning how to use it and I'm sure it will take awhile, but I'm really super excited to finally have a nice camera -thanks mom! See the camera's lens that I was using prior to this camera got stuck in the extended zoom position so the only way to take a picture was to be really far away from whoever you are trying to take a picture of. Sadly, Ella falling off the couch was the extreme consequence of this camera's defect. I was trying to get a picture of her (all the way across the room) when she started falling over on her side. Seconds later (before I had time to catch her) there she was laying on the floor beside the couch. I LEARNED MY LESSON, and offically retired the camera after I got my composure back. So sorry sweet girl! But THANKS AGAIN MOM!!!
