I can't believe Nicolas is six year old! I'm sure I will say this every year, but he has really grown up! This defiantly seems to be the age where they go from little preschool cute to a little boy. Nick has been a great joy in Chris and I's life and we can't imagine our family without him. Nick loves little figurines: plastic army men, power rangers, and Chris's old play men from when he was little. Nick is half monkey and loves to climb everything and anything. He has learned how to read this year and really enjoys school and his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Peck. He played in his second season of basketball and has just started his first year of soccer. NIck also lost his first two teeth this year!
I love that Nick runs from us every morning when we attempt to put gel in his hair. I love that Nick is caring and sweet and has a very soft-easy going personality. I love that Nick finds security in our bed- this is his favorite place to play, watch TV, and hang out- even when we're not in there. I love that Nick wants cereal for every meal - even though he might not get it. I love that Nick asks for a bed time story and a snack every night. I love that Nick is all boy. I love that Nick likes going to 'work' with daddy. I love that Nick wears the SAME slip on shoes everyday. I love that Nick is honest. And most of all I love Nick because he has taught me how to be a mom, how to be patient, and how to love unconditionally.
